Craig Insley
Craig is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in both accounting practice and industry. He started his career qualifying with a top 30 firm, managing a diverse range of clients across sectors including manufacturing, retail, engineering, property, IT solutions, and TV/media. This gave him valuable insight into owner-managed businesses, an area he is particularly passionate about.
After more than ten years in practice, Craig moved into industry, leading the finance function at an owner-managed engineering consultancy. This role enhanced his commercial skills and deepened his understanding of the challenges faced by SMEs. He then progressed to a Group Finance role, acting as Group Financial Controller and Finance Director for trading subsidiaries in manufacturing and leisure, including ownership of two holiday parks.
Building on this broad experience, Craig co-founded NG Accounting with a former colleague. The firm focuses on delivering commercially practical accountancy and tax advice with a straightforward, accessible approach. Craig’s combination of technical expertise and business insight makes him a valuable partner for organizations seeking pragmatic financial solutions.
Outside of work, Craig is a keen cyclist, enjoys travelling, and most of all, treasures time with his young family.
Richard Woodhouse
Richard is a Chartered Certified Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser. He began his career in 1997 at a top 30 East Midlands firm, initially preparing accounts for small companies before progressing into audit and then tax, where he advanced to senior manager.
With over 25 years of experience, Richard specialises in managing the accounting and tax requirements—both compliance and advisory—of SMEs and family-owned businesses.
Outside of work, Richard enjoys spending quality time with his family and staying active through football, cricket, squash, and running.
